In 1946, the French brand Lou was created with the dream of providing beautiful as well as practical corsetry for the public and as it grew another label called Bolero was born catering to a different clientele. Bolero specialises in B, C, D and E cup fittings with sizes from 8 - 16. Half cups, air and classic push-ups, strapless and full cup bras appear as staples in the collections with additional g-strings, g-string/culottes, bikinis, full briefs, French knickers, camisoles, chemises, suspender belts and bodysuits. Innovative in their designs having used glow-in-the-dark embroidery for one series and one of the first to introduce air filled pockets for push-up bras when their competitors were still manufacturing liquid filled cups. Bolero is included into the small number of firms that form "aristocracy" of French lingerie "haute de gamme".
